Do More With Your Xbox 360 - Part III
Hack Your Network Connection

When you are adding your Xbox 360 to your home network to take advantage of Do More With Your Xbox 360 - Part I & Part II a lot of people are not very happy about trying to get an ethernet cable all the way to your 360 (unless you are lucky and your house is pre-wired… LUCKY!). So here are some ways to get around the $100 official Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter, or at least a cheaper way to do it.
DIY Wi-Fi Adapter: LifeHacker highlighted how to build a Wi-Fi adapter for your 360 on the cheap using an inexpensive router or bridge, and they also have a more recent guide to wiring your living room over Wi-Fi with a wireless bridge as it goes into the specifics. Also, if you’ve got an extra Wi-Fi router laying around the house capable of running the open-source DD-WRT firmware, you can just use DD-WRT to build a wireless bridge.

Use Your Laptop as a Wi-Fi Adapter: “Perhaps even better, if you don’t have the goods on hand to build your own cheap Xbox 360 Wi-Fi adapter but you do have a laptop, you can use your laptop as a free Xbox Wi-Fi adapter by enabling Internet Sharing and connecting it to your Xbox (works on both Windows and Mac laptops).” - LifeHacker
Keep an eye out for Do More With Your Xbox 360 - Part IV. It’s coming soon.
